About The Exotic Pet Refuge
The Exotic Pet Refuge is an animal rescue and rehabilitation sanctuary, specialising in exotics. We take in animals from private owners, sanctuaries, and zoos from Aberdeen to Southampton. Currently, we are home to over 300 animals including monkeys, meerkats, raccoons, wolves, lynx, owls, foxes, reptiles, snakes, and an alligator! Our mission is to provide a safe haven for these animals and work towards their rehabilitation and release back into the wild wherever possible.
What We Do
We work towards the physical and emotional well-being of each animal in our care. Our team of experts provides specialised care and rehabilitation to animals in need, and where appropriate (for native species) released back into their natural habitat. We also aim to raise awareness about the plight of exotic animals and the importance of conservation efforts, and the difficulties of keeping them as pets.

Who We Are
The Exotic Pet Refuge was founded in 1984 by Pam Mansfield and her late husband Mel. Since then, we have grown to become a leading animal rescue organisation, providing a safe haven for exotic animals in need.
Our Patrons
Our work has not gone unnoticed! Our patrons include Steve Backshall MBE, one of Britain's most loved animal and wildlife presenters, and renowned actor Warwick Davis. We are also proud to announce our new patron, Veterinarian Matt Smith, best known for his role on Yorkshire Vet.
